The Stampede City Kinsmen kicked off Kinsmen and Kinette Week with the celebration of awarding a Life Membership to Dean Faithfull. Dean is a very deserving recipient of this award. You can check out pictures of the event on our Gallery Page.

Lately the club has donated to the Alberta Children's Hospital to fund the Kinsmen Chair of Pediatric Neuroscience. Dr Wiebe took on the challenge of the position and has built a fantastic Neuroscience team that is working on a number of research and development projects.
A pilot project has also been funded through the Home Lottery
and
that was used to screen newborn babies for the Cystic Fibrosis gene.
The pilot project has been completed and the Alberta
Government now funds the CF screening on a permanent basis.
Alberta is the first province in Canada to fund the CF
